So your little one requested a Super Hero Birthday Party, and now you are looking for an economical way to add Super Hero details to the party for little cost. Here you will find a creative way to make ten capes for less then $4 bucks. Nice, right! Beats the work of sewing, and the cost of Material.
Supplies you will need:
- plastic table cloth (coordinate your color to your super hero)
- Scissors
- Wide Packing Tape
- Thick Elastic Band
- Super Hero Emblems decorative font
Depending on the plastic table cloth color that you choose to use you can create capes for all kinds of Super Heroes. For my son’s Super Hero Birthday Party, there were capes for Batman (black plastic tablecloth), Superman, Spiderman, Super Girl, Flash, (red plastic tablecloth), Captain America (Blue plastic table cloth), Hulk and Green Lantern (green plastic table cloth). Although I ended up hand drawing all of the super Hero Emblems for my capes, I recently found a really cool font site that will output the emblems based on your keystrokes. Here is a link to download these fonts. Using this font makes each keystroke on your keyboard result in a different Super Hero Emblem. Very cool, Love it! There are a variety of emblems to choose from so you can get creative and try using them in other places too.
